About The Living Tree
The Living Tree is a registered charity which offers friendship, creative activities & holistic therapies, relevant diet & lifestyle information for anyone with any cancer. We offer mutual support, helping people cope with the fear, anxiety, isolation or stress that cancer can bring by offering a chance to unwind and share laughter (we do a lot of this!) and coping strategies.
We are looking to appoint a part-time administration support person, to help with numerous admin tasks (administration, community work, trusteeships & committees), beginning 1st July 2022 (when our current administrative assistant steps down).
The admin assistant will be asked to plan & prepare for trustees meetings (usually held bimonthly on a Wednesday afternoon, either face to face or on Zoom); compile the agenda & circulate to Trustees; attend Trustees meetings & take minutes; compile draft minutes then forward to Trustees for amendment before final circulation; action items when necessary; prepare for & attend additional meetings as required (eg. AGM, Trustee Annual Return submission).
You will gain a large amount of experience in charity administration, plus join a vibrant cancer charity which has grown in the last 10 years into a well regarded community resource. We have strong links with other local community groups & individuals, plus regular contact from Macmillan & other cancer related charities.
