Volunteering Roles at Age UK North, South & West Dorset
Our volunteers donate their time and effort to make an incredible difference for older people in the community. Without them, we couldn’t be here when we’re needed most.
Anyone can volunteer, and it can be a very rewarding experience. It is also a great way to meet new people, gain new or use your existing skills, and make a real difference in the community.
There are a wide range of volunteering opportunities on offer, from befriending, helping to deliver information packs, acting as a good neighbour with simple one-off tasks for those who need support in your area, and much more.
We also have a calendar of fundraising activities that require support, whether you’re a keen baker, love driving, can help motivate our runners, enjoy knitting, or are great at taking photographs, there’s sure to be something to get involved in with. The more volunteers who support our fundraising team, the more events we’re able to host.
Your role as a volunteer can be as varied or as simple as you wish. We appreciate that abilities, experience and interests have a role to play, and welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Each role is of equal importance to the eventual outcome to which we all strive.
