
Bus
Until 31 December 2024 all bus fares with First Wessex are £2. Additionally, the fare cap applies to nearly all bus companies in the Southwest, including Stagecoach, South West Coaches and AVMT.
First Wessex have three routes serving Bridport: 6, X51 and X53. The X53 serves West Bay.
Route X51 operates daily, connecting Bridport with Dorchester, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster. From 22nd October service is Mondays to Saturdays only.
Route X53 operates daily, connecting Bridport with West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Abbotsbury, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster.

Route 6 operates Mondays to Fridays between Bridport, Beaminster, Crewkerne and Yeovil.
This route is becoming CR6 from January 2024.
Route CB3 operates every Saturday between Bridport, Beaminster and Crewkerne and is run by Beaminster Town Council.

As the service is run by volunteers, the CB3 is not part of the £2 fare cap scheme.
Dorset Community Transport, on behalf of Bridport Town Council operates the following service:
Route 7 on Wednesdays and Saturdays: the Bridport Market Town Service.
All journeys are £2 for a single journey.

Dorset Community Transport also operate rural services weekly or fortnightly from surrounding villages, including Askerswell, Puncknowle, Litton Cheney, Broadwindsor and Loders/Uploders.

The nearest train stations to Bridport and West Bay are as follows:
- Crewkerne (12 miles) and Axminster (13 miles) stations – services between London Waterloo at Exeter St Davids
