Until 31 December 2024 all bus fares with First Wessex are £2.00 for a single journey. Additionally, the fare cap applies to nearly all bus companies in the Southwest, including StagecoachSouth West Coaches and AVMT.

First Wessex has four routes serving Bridport: CR6, X51, X52 and X53. The X53 serves West Bay.  The X52 is an open top bus service operating from 13th May 2024 and will serve West Bay.

Route X51 (Mondays to Saturdays) connects Bridport with Dorchester, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster. View the current X51 timetable here.

Route X52 (Mondays to Saturdays from 13th May 2024) is an open top bus which connects Bridport with Weymouth via West Bay, Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury.

Route X53 (Daily) connects Bridport with West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Abbotsbury, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster. View the X53 timetable here.

On Bank Holidays a Sunday service operates.

Route CR6 operates Mondays to Fridays between Bridport, Beaminster, Crewkerne and Yeovil. This service runs via South Street.
Route CB3 operates every Saturday between Bridport, Beaminster and Crewkerne and is run by Beaminster Town Council. This service runs via East Street.

There is no service on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
As the service is run by volunteers, the CB3 is not part of the £2.00 fare cap scheme.

Dorset Community Transport, on behalf of Bridport Town Council operates the following service:
Route 7 on Wednesdays and Saturdays: the Bridport Market Town Service.
All journeys are just £2 for a single journey.
Unfortunately this is a non-wheelchair accessible minibus.

Dorset Community Transport also operate rural services weekly or fortnightly from surrounding villages, including Askerswell, Puncknowle, Litton Cheney, Broadwindsor and Loders/Uploders.

Lyme Regis Park and Ride
The Lyme Regis Park and Ride returns for 2024.
4th, 5th, 6th May
Daily between 25 May and 2 June 2024
Saturdays and Sundays between 8 June and 21 July 2024
Daily between 24 July and 2 September 2024

Lyme Regis Town Service
This operates Mondays to Fridays, (except Bank Holidays) – all year around and is operated by Damory, on behalf of Lyme Regis Town Council.

Coach

National Express operate up to twice daily from Weymouth and Dorchester to Bournemouth and London.
Booking in advance is required. Tickets can be purchased from Bridport Tourist Information Centre.
