West Bay Discovery Centre Volunteering Opportunities
West Bay Discovery Centre Volunteers : Front of House/Stewards
Do you have a little time to spare and are looking for something worthwhile and rewarding ? Our volunteers are part of a team who provide a warm and friendly welcome to the award-winning West Bay Discovery Centre and ensure that visitors have an enjoyable visit. No prior experience is required. We will provide you with the all the information and training that you need. We are looking for people who enjoy meeting new people, are reliable and happy talking about what West Bay has to offer. You need to be confident in handling small amounts of cash (there is no cash till to operate). We also welcome volunteers to help with planning and running activities for all ages, carrying out research for future exhibitions, organising events and leading guided walks.
West Bay Discovery Centre – Wildlife Volunteer
West Bay Discovery Centre is looking for a wildlife volunteer to lead a series of four monthly walks during the summer in West Bay. The walks form part of our “Discover the Wildlife of West Bay“ programme and are based upon a leaflet of the same name, which is being supported by the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The person concerned would need to have a good general knowledge of plants and birds. We would welcome anyone who was interested in becoming our “wildlife advisor” on an ongoing basis.
