Bridport Area Development Trust (BADT)

The BADT was created in 2009 to help restore and revitalise historic buildings in Bridport and the neighbouring Area. It has recently completed the Literary and Scientific Institute in East St. at a cost of £2.65 million and the West Bay Discovery Centre, previously the ‘Chapel on the Beach’, for £280k. Both buildings are running successfully, supported by teams of volunteers and paid staff.

The Trust Board is looking for a Treasurer who woud like to help us continue our work and ‘make a difference!’

This post is unremunerated but supported by a part time paid bookeeper. The accounting systems have been set up with the help of Heritage Lottery Fund Grants and advice from a highly qualified Charity Financial adviser. The new Treasurer will  be a member of the Trust Board and give advice on financial strategy as well as supervising the Annual Report and Accounts. Reasonable expenses will be paid.
