Monday 7th January – Inspired by Archives – Photography

Enjoy the countryside? Love history? Enjoy both with pictures, maps or recordings at the Dorset History Centre, Dorchester, learn something new about the natural world, with the Stepping into Nature Project AONB.

Wednesday 9th January – A Treasure Hunt

Themed walking Treasure Trail around Dorchester Military Museum, our displays cover four floors and take you on a 300 year journey through military history. Our artifacts have amazing stories to tell, some will surprise you! The museum is fully accessible with a lift to every floor.

Friday 11th January – Boveys Down Farm

Is a rural retreat located in the tranquil surrounding of the Devonian Countryside, Swallow’s Rest Tea Room, check out our farm kitchen for a wide selection of cakes, traditional East Devon pasties, Aberdeen Angus burgers. Rib eye steaks and even gluten free sausages.

Tuesday 15th January – Freshwater Leisure Centre

Right next to the beach the centre has activities for all. Indoor pools, easy accessible building and lifts. Activities, ten-pin bowling, indoor swimming pool or hot tub and hairdressers, enjoy a delicious meal in the Bedrock restaurant with stunning sea views.

Wednesday 16th January – The Haynes International Motor Museum

Is the UK’s largest collection of the greatest cars from around the world with over 400 amazing cars and bikes from the dawn of motoring in the late 1800s through nostalgic classics of the 1950s and 1960s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royce to world renowned super cars like the Jaguar XJ220.

Friday 18th January – Bicton Gardens

One of Devon’s most visited attractions with activities to suit all weathers, take a trip down memory lane at the Countryside Museum and explore the four glasshouses at Bicton Gardens which have been designed to re-create the natural enviroment of plants from different continents.

Wednesday 23 January – A Woman of No Importance

Bridport Arts Centre film starring award-winning Eve Best (The Kings Speech) BAFTA nominated actress Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax) with a stellar ensemble cast in Oscar Wilde’s glittering critique of aristocratic society. Lunch at The Ivy House.

Friday 25 January – A Taste of Wareham – ‘The Salt Pig’

Established in 2010 premises comprise of an urban farm shop, butchery and a cafe  come in to view the wide range of Purbeck products and produce we sell and enjoy  dining in our restaurant.

Tuesday 29 January – The Dorchester Curiosity Centre

Housing 100 traders from beautiful antique pieces to funky retro and collectables, our on site cafe offers a perfect place to relax and enjoy a homemade cake or lunch, next to Mole Avon country stores.

Wednesday 30 January – The Mason’s Arms

Welcome to our traditional award winning thatched inn, in the number one spot, authentic and beautifully presented, as one reviewer put it ‘a chocolate box pub in a chocolate box village’ a short distance from Branscombe beach.
