The Bookery: Wild About Dorset

Bridport’s literary pop-up goes WILD this month with a spoken-word event focusing on landscape and nature – and writers who are captivated and inspired by the natural world.

A summer evening of readings and insights features veteran author, big-cat specialist and former Sunday Times journalist, Brian Jackman (whose books include Wild About Dorset, a “love letter” to the county he has lived in for 50 years), author and Guardian writer Sara Hudston (previewing her forthcoming book A Life Outside: Hope Bourne on Exmoor) and Roger Sewill whose hike across Dorset (with a Dales pony called Scarlet) is a book in the making.

Add a pop-up bar hosted by Symondsbury Kitchen, free parking and books that make you think about the world around us.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets £10.
