Scottish Art for Spring
A Six Week Course

Presented by Pam Simpson MA, Art Historian

From the Scottish Enlightenment to present day artists. Gavin Hamilton, to David Wilkie the great story teller, who painted everyday life.

Horatio McCulluch, who celebrated the landscape of rural Scotland  as described by Walter Scott.

Thomas Stuart Smith who became a painter and a patron of Scottish art.

Mary Cameron, William McCance who gives a modern view post WW1, likewise William Gear. Elizabeth Blackadder’s beautiful flowers and still life paintings, Anne Redpath, John Ballany, Alison Watt’s contemporary portraits and still life paintings, Rachel Maclean, plus other artists and some photography.

There is one Monday bank holiday  (6th May) where the course will take a weeks break on that week.

Fee £65 for the full six week course.
