Event Details

Wild Arts is delighted to bring our evening of opera to Minterne House.

Let me tell you that Wild Arts’ opera evenings are of a breathtakingly high, ROH-level musical standard – a gorgeous quintet of musicians and a most cunning choice of excerpts, mischievously well acted. I’d follow them anywhere. Libby Purves

Our Opera Evening is a love story built around your favourite opera classics, arranged into 75 minutes of musical delight. All sung by the stars of tomorrow and played by a string quintet of top UK chamber musicians. Follow four characters’ journeys through a kaleidoscope of arias, duets, and ensembles by Mozart, Rossini, Puccini, Verdi, Rodgers & Hammerstein and many many more.

The gardens will open at 5pm for you to arrive, set up your picnic, and open the champagne. The performance run from around 6.30pm to around 7.45pm, and you can then enjoy your picnic and the light summer evening, before dusk at around 9.30pm.

You are welcome to bring everything you need to make yourself comfortable while enjoying the performance – rugs, cushions. folding chairs, candelabras and hampers. We are expecting a beautiful summer’s evening but do check the weather and come prepared for an English summer.

You can pre-order a delicious picnic or bring your own.
