Jess Gillam has become an international star, having been a finalist in the 2016 BBC Young Musician. She appeared at the Beaminster Festival in 2017 and has gone on to perform all over the world and is also a highly successful and popular presenter. She has her own show on BBC Radio 3, ‘This Classical Life’ and has presented BBC Proms and BBC Young Musician. She is a brilliant communicator and is excited to play ‘in the round’ at St Mary’s Church, ensuring close contact with the whole audience.
The programme will feature Jess’ typical wide ranging programme showcasing the versatility of the saxophone including music by Gershwin, Corelli, Telemann and Barbara Thompson.

The General Public can book tickets from Monday 25 August, and need no code.
With the stage in the centre of the church, seats are arranged on each side, North, South, East and West.
Premium Reserved Seats, £30, are the front two rows of each side and are reserved and numbered.
Reserved Seats, £25, are also on each side and are numbered .
Unreserved seats, £20, will be arranged in remaining spaces to get the best view available, and you choose your seat on arrival.
