Founded in 2006 the Tim Kliphuis Trio are one of the world’s top string groups, combining jaw-dropping virtuosity and mesmerizing improvisations with a beautifully varied repertoire sourced from classical music, gypsy jazz and folk.
Pictures at an Exhibition is a new take on Mussorgsky’s classic suite of representations of paintings by his friend Viktor Hartmann.As well as many of the best-known ‘pictures’, there will be new additions by Tim Kliphuis such as Klimt’s The Kiss, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Hokusai’s Great Wave and O’Keeffe’s Ritz Tower.
The second half will include Gypsy Jazz gems.
