Stoke Abbott Street Fair combines centuries of tradition with live music, a games garden, activities, entertainment, ferret-racing, stalls, cream teas and more.
It starts at 2pm with the Sick Club Parade, the last of its kind left in the country. Led by jazz musicians, flag bearers and Grub the Sheep, it’s a unique start to the afternoon.
The village lanes are closed to traffic for the afternoon. There’s lots going on throughout for all ages, not least The Big Foolini Magic Show at 3pm.
Entry is £3 per adult (free for children). Cash only. Free parking is available from the Beaminster approach to the village.
All funds raised support the Village Hall, St Mary’s Church and a local charity – this year it is Beaminster Food Bank.
