Event Details

Bridport’s definitive film festival celebrating the art of literary adaptation.

This year’s guest curator will be Screenwriter and Director, Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

Acclaimed choreographer Abram Khan collaborated with award-winning director Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy, Diego Maradona) for this thrilling screen adaptation of the English National Ballet’s dystopian sci-fi Creature. Charismatic star Jeffrey Cirio is the feral Frankenstein-inspired Creature, a captive in an Arctic research facility where he is subjected to the cruel experiments and whims of the Doctor (Stina Quagebeur) and the Major (Ken Suruhashi). Cirio’s electrifying central performance oscillates between innocent devotion and bestial abjection in this tragic tale of the outsider’s search for belonging in the face of barbaric tyranny and the conflicting hope of compassion and connection.
