Fashion Treasures of the Bridport Museum & Christmas Drinks

Please join us for a Christmassy drink, mingle and talk on Bridport Museum’s fashion collection.

Bridport Museum has over 2000 items in its fashion and textile collection, spanning several centuries, and ranging from elite to everyday dress. This talk, from conservators Lindsey Pritchard and Frances Pearsall, is an opportunity to learn more about this special local archive of fashion. They will bring a selection of garments to view up close, and share the history and present situation of the collection as a whole. This is also an opportunity to discuss what further engagement between the Museum and the Bridport Fashion and Textile Network could look like, such as handling workshops on specific themes, volunteering opportunities, other possible collaborations.

Festive drinks and nibbles will be provided.
