EXHIBITION: Living In A Material World

A Free Exhibition presenting alternative, affordable housing that uses local materials.

WHO:
Local organisations seeking to develop more local housing (Bridport Area Community Housing, Bridport  Town Council, Common Practice, Plymouth Uni and Wessex Community Assets) have been working with Assemble Studio and architecture students from EPFL University in Lausanne.

WHY:
The aim was to explore innovative approaches to affordable housing using local materials such as timber, hemp and clay

WHAT:
The students have been based at Denhay Farm and have been working with Local Works Studio to develop plans and models for construction approaches.
