International blues and boogie woogie star Julian Phillips joins top ragtime pianist Mike Denham on the St Swithun’s grand piano to explore these two remarkable styles which together shaped 20th Century music. Ragtime syncopation was a key ingredient of jazz and many popular songs; boogie-woogie led directly to Rhythm & Blues and Rock’N’Roll
