A triple bill of three rarely screened ‘Comic Strip Presents’ films: The Supergrass, Four Men In A Plane and the very rarely screening Five Go Mad In Dorset.

Followed by Q&A with Writer-Director Peter Richardson and Nigel Planer.

The Comic Strip Presents was the nucleus of three comedy duos: The Outer Limits, featuring Peter Richardson and Nigel Planer; Twentieth Century Coyote, featuring Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson; and French & Saunders (Dawn & Jennifer) plus Alexei Sayle, who often hosted alongside Keith Allen and Robbie Coltrane. The team would go on to make 42 individual films under the banner of ‘The Comic Strip Presents’ (1982 till 2016) with Founder and Series Producer Peter Richardson.

THE SUPERGRASS (new Director’s Cut)
The hit Comic Strip Movie. Dennis Carter (Ade Edmondson), a young fantasist attempting to impress his wayward girlfriend that he’s an international drug smuggler, is arrested by police and used as a pawn in their search for a real gang.
Also starring Peter Richardson, Jennifer Saunders, Robbie Coltrane and Alexei Sayle.

FOUR MEN IN A PLANE
Four men attending a conference in North Africa avoid a 14-hour bus ride by hiring a small plane which crash-lands in the burning hot desert. The four, unable to fly, attempt to drive the plane like a car back to civilisation.

FIVE GO MAD IN DORSET 

Aired on the opening night of Channel 4, the four visit Uncle Quentin only to be caught up in the mystery of his kidnapping.
