In celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee, the Bridport Chamber Orchestra is presenting an afternoon of popular classical music, including the dramatic Egmont Overture by Beethoven, Richard Strauss’ Concerto for French  Horn No. 1 (soloist Laura Morris) and Haydn’s Drumroll
Symphony No. 103.  The string orchestra will be augmented by guest wind and percussion players for this special occasion and teas will be served after the concert.  You can obtain tickets in advance for £10 from The Bridport Music Centre and The Book Shop, as well as on the door, and student admission is free.

Explosion of Colour and Texture Exhibition, through the medium of ceramics and photography, EYPE Centre for the Arts, Bridport. Plenty of parking! Free Entry.

Two Bridport women, Margaret Preuss-Higham and Shirley Holbrook Cooper (aka Zeba Arte) have come together to exhibit photography and ceramics from their own unique perspectives. Margaret serves as a priest in Portesham and artist Zeba spent 28 years in Ibiza before returning home to Bridport. Expect to see an explosion of colour in their joint exhibition.

This party is for the senior residents of Charmouth. They are welcome to dress in 50’s style clothes, there will be 50’s music coronation chicken, trifle, bubbles and lots more food. The Lyme Regis Moonrakers will be singing sea shanties and lead the National Anthem.
