BYPAT (Bridport Young Persons Action Trust – registered charity 1027463) was founded in 1993, both to support local disadvantaged young people and to work within the community to develop activities and facilities for the young, involving them in the process.

Recent and current projects also involving  major partnerships: with Bridport Town Council (West Bay and other Play Areas); with the Council, the Rotary Club of Bridport and local families (Trick Factory Indoor Skate Park); with voluntary non profit-making company BEST (Bridport Enterprise Supporting Training) Ltd and the Sir John Colfox Academy(student support through the ASPIRE Project); with Tokyo’s Koyamadai Educational Foundation (Japanese Exchange Programme for over twenty-three years); with Bridport Primary School, the Living Tree, Rights Respecting Town, Bridport Gardening Club, Bridport Lions Club, etc. (“Branden’s Trail” Project).
