World Nettle Eating Competition 2025

Join us on the Afternoon of Saturday 21st of June at the Cider farm for the World Nettle Eating competition, Live Music, Food, Cider & Beers.

The Nettle eating contest has long been a uniquely quirky Dorset event. We are excited and honoured to host the World Nettle Eating Competition once again, here on our family run Dorset Nectar Cider Farm.

The men’s and women’s winners who eat the leaves from the most two foot lengths in 30 minutes get a large trophy to take away for the year and are crowned Nettle Queen and Nettle King.
Two Live bands afterwards, Tortilla Cantina Mexican food with Olivers Kitchen serving Cider sausage baps and Apple wood smoked pulled pork baps. Local Ciders, local beers and wines.
