Martin Maudsley and Jane Flood, old friends and experienced storytellers, open a treasure-hoard of glittering tales to celebrate the season of hearthside storytelling. Two voices, several stirring stories, all woven together into one Winter’s Spell.
Jane Flood has been telling traditional stories since 1994. Her work has taken her to East Africa with UNICEF, Nepal, Tibet with the Himalayan Broadcasting Company and Peru and Ecuador with The British Council. She has been Storyteller in Residence for The Mendip Hills, The Blackdown Hills, The North Somerset Coast and most recently the Avalon Marshes.
Martin Maudsley is a professional storyteller based in Dorset and telling stories in theatres, festivals, schools, and outdoor settings around the UK. He has worked regularly with national organisations providing storytelling projects including: the BBC, Dorset AONB, the Eden Project, English Heritage, the National Trust, and the Brit Valley Project. His storytelling performances have recently taken further afield to Australia, South Korea, and China. He is the author of Telling the Seasons – a storyteller’s guide through the turning year – and is currently writing two children’s books on Monsters and Fairies!
