LORD DAVID NEUBERGER, FORMER SUPREME COURT PRESIDENT AND CURRENT MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF LORDS, GIVES HIS UNIQUE LEGAL PERSPECTIVE ON THE CHALLENGES FACING OUR UNWRITTEN CONSTITUTION IN THESE TURBULENT TIMES.
The Rt Hon Lord Neuberger is a life Peer and as the second President of the Supreme Court was the U.K.’s most senior judge from 2012-2017.
He delivered the Supreme Court’s judgement in the Miller case in 2017 on Article 50 – that only Parliament could authorise the serving of our notice to leave the EU, (the subject of the notorious Daily Mail Judges as “Enemies of the People” headline,) and has much legal experience of constitutional clashes and matters pertaining to devolution powers.
Lord Neuberger still sits as a judge in the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal and the Appellate Court in Singapore. He has been trustee of the Magna Carta Trust, is a trustee of Mental Health Research UK, and a Fellow of the Royal Society. In his spare time, he is now practising at the Bar again.
Cost £10 (inc. glass of wine).
