Paprika’s whirlwind performances of Eastern European and Gypsy music have established them as the UK’s leading Balkan music band. Fusing traditional, rock and jazz styles to create their own distinctive sound, their virtuosity has enthralled audiences from the Royal Albert Hall to Sydney Opera House and from New Zealand to Japan.
This electrifying six-piece band (two accordions, violin, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion) fuses together Eastern European, Balkan, gypsy and classical music in a whirlwind performance of frenzied virtuosity. Fiery melodies interspersed with lilting laments and the band’s revivals of lost traditional music guarantee an evening of surprises and fast-paced, foot-tapping entertainment.
