Event Details

A music filled storytelling adventure for the whole family!

Step inside the StoryDen, take a seat on the magic carpet and soar off on a wild adventure all the way to India – hold on to your hats!

Who took a bite out of the sun?
How are flying monkeys made?
What happened to the boy with no head?
And how on earth can it take so long to find a coconut for breakfast?!
Join Storyteller Emily Hennessey and sitar player Sheema Mukherjee inside their beautiful bell tent as they take us on a music-filled ride through colourful myths and folktales of India. Bursting with stories, silliness and loads of participation, this is a perfect adventure for the whole family.
Emily and Sheema have been fusing live storytelling and music for many years, specialising in Indian mythology with music that draws on both Indian classical and contemporary traditions. With a style that is highly accessible and deeply engaging, they have toured a wide range of venues including British Museum, Soho Theatre, York Theatre Royal and The Ancient Technology Centre.
