Event Details

BACK IN FEBRUARY THE LSI WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HOST RUPERT SHELDRAKE WHO PRESENTED A TALK TO A SELL OUT AUDIENCE

THEY WERE ALSO LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE LOCAL FILM MAKER ROB JAYNE RECORD THE EVENT FOR POSTERITY.

The film was recently released on social media and officially went ‘viral’ earlier this month.

If you missed the live talk first time round then here is a second opportunity to see what all the fuss is about…

And what’s it all about?…

Preparing the way for the future of the sciences

Rupert Sheldrake, the internationally renowned environmental biologist, explains in his book ‘The Science Delusion’ how materialism has gradually hardened into a kind of anti-Christian principle, claiming authority to dictate theories and to veto enquiries on topics that don’t suit it, such as unorthodox medicine, let alone religion.

Sheldrakes’ insistence on the need to attend to possible wider ways of thinking is surely right. His engaging and provocative book and this talk will make you question the basic assumptions of western science.

Tickets Free/Donation available from LSi Alembic Canteen, Bridport Tourist Information Centre and Eventbrite (Click Here)
