ROPE

This long narrative poem echoes with the voices of people connected through trade and the work of hands.

It begins on a spring morning in Bridport, Dorset and listens in on the crew on a ship becalmed in Atlantic, the people of Benin City in West African and on the inhabitants of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, finally looping back to England.
