Melplash Show

The Melplash Agricultural Society Show is one of the South West’s premier agricultural exhibitions and is held at The West Bay Show grounds, Bridport, Dorset on the last Thursday before the August Bank holiday. Our 2023 Show will take place on Thursday 24th August.
Our show really offers something for everyone! The showground is packed full of exhibits including livestock, horses, homecrafts and horticulture. There are over 400 trade stands selling everything from locally produced food to tractors… and plenty in between!
Farming and agriculture really is at the heart of our show and visitors will be able to watch judging of the wonderful animals. We will be building on the success of our Discover Farming marquee – a must visit for all families who are interested in learning more about food production and farming. There will be a number of activities and interactive demonstrations where children of all ages can get hands on experience of a variety of ‘Farm to Food’ activities.
Our show is a great day to meet with friends, enjoy the countryside and learn more about West Dorset. It also offers a fantastic platform to conduct business so there really is something for everyone.

**FREE SHUTTLE BUS FROM LYME REGIS AND BRIDPORT – CLICK HERE FOR TIMETABLE**
By Bus – For 2023 we will be operating a free bus service covering Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Bridport areas. Due to the popularity of this service we have introduced a second bus on the Lyme Regis route. In addition there is a bus operating from Bridport town centre to the showground. Click here to view the timetables . Well behaved dogs are welcome on the buses.
Park and Ride Services – We have two Park & Ride services located around Bridport. All are completely free to use and dogs are welcome to travel on the buses. The bus will drop visitors along the West Bay Road and a short level walk will lead to the showground entrance. Parking sites are listed below, please follow event signage:
