Liz Wright – Landscape Painter
Influenced by Florentine Renaissance artists such as Bruegel, Giotto and Bottechilli, Liz paints in styles that are part realism and what she identifies as a ‘hyper – reality’.
Her vibrant landscape paintings are immediately identifiable as her own. She paints local and travelled scenes that have inspired her and that will definitely bring a smile to your face, whether it is the theme or the characters or both, giving you a sense of delight and even, of amusement at times.
Most of her collection of works is housed in Bridgeman Art Library with licences in London, New York, Paris and Berlin, giving you a great opportunity to view some of her work.
Many of her pieces have also been reproduced in cards, books, cd’s and magazine covers.
Liz trained at St. Martin’s School of Art and later at West of England College of Art, Bristol with David Ingshaw RA and Alfred Stockham WRA.
