Jazz Composer, producer, and bassist Michael J Bolton (MJB) plays live at Clocktower Records with interpretations from the language of jazz past, creating melodies and form that is relatable and highly enjoyable. MJB will be playing music from his acclaimed debut album Earthrise,’ music based in the sounds of the seventies, fusion, and prog with lots of funky grooves. If you loved Weather Report, Earth Wind and Fire, George Duke, and Miles this is the gig for you. The album was mixed and mastered by David Hentschel who straddles prog and jazz through his past work with Genesis, so expect a slick smooth sound. The album ‘Earthrise’ (available at Clocktower Records) celebrates the beauty and fragility of the Earth, through a soundscape influenced by Apollo 50 and the first astronauts who went to earth. Be prepared for a night time journey to the moon – sit back and enjoy the ride! Described by a review from Jazzwise magazine, MJB’s Earthrise is ‘lunar groovy’ spacey and ethereal’

Supporting are the hugely talented Beat Poets, ‘BassLines; prize winning spoken word performer, Ged Duncan, Dylan Ross and Nic Worters performing poetry inspired by the beatnik generation’s reflection on place, people, and landscape.
