Are you interested in computers, coding, robotics or electronics?
If so, you are invited to come to the first floor of Bridport Library on May 20th at 2pm to help set up a Bridport “Raspberry Jam”.
A Raspberry Jam is a community meeting of people of any age interested in doing cool things with technology especially with the Raspberry Pi, a credit card sized computer costing between £5 and £30, designed to get kids and adults coding and playing with electronics. Some projects made using Raspberry Pi computers include coding personal messages to be displayed on a small LED matrix, a home made parent intruder alarm, a musical keyboard using real bananas and Wii remote controlled robots!
At the first meeting, there will be some demonstrations of Raspberry Pi projects, the library computers will be available to use for coding games, a discussion about how to carry on with the Jam in the future and there will be help available for those stuck on a project.
If you have a Raspberry Pi, please do bring it along!
