The Town Council is about to undertake a consultation exercise asking for people’s views on its play and recreation areas. This will start at the next Town Council meeting on Tuesday 24 January at 7pm in the Town Hall, when the Public Open Forum will be dedicated to this issue. People are encouraged to come along and speak about the current provision but also what improvements or changes they might like to see. There will also be a presentation from the newly formed Skate Park Steering Group on their ideas for the Skate Park site.
Councillor Sarah Williams, Leader of the Town Council said “ the Town Council manages a large number of play facilities in Bridport and West Bay. Following the success of the West Bay Play Area, we want to look at all our facilities and hear from people about how we can improve their local play areas. The Council meeting will be the start of a consultation process, which will help us to produce a plan for the future of play and recreation in the area.”
The Town Council’s Public Open Forum takes place at the start of the Council meeting, when up to 45 minutes is allowed for a public discussion of an issue.
